Names were recently released for local players that were named to both the All-State and All-Region teams.
There were three local players named as All-State players. Fort Mill’s Gavin Brandwood is the only local representative at the 5A level. He was one of seven defensive backs selected as an All-State player.
At the 4A level, both tight end Brady Ambrose and offensive lineman Lewis Price were selected as honorable mention selections for Catawba Ridge as All-State players.
When it came to All-Region selections, there were a lot more locals named to their respective teams.
Catawba Ridge led the area with nine players for Region 3-4A. They were Chayson Anderton, Jake Sines, Rasean Marajah, Josh Dobson, Josh Stokes, Tre Sanders, Camden Gifford, Ambrose and Price.
For Nation Ford, Josh Ameo, Zay Neely, Brandon Flores and Kaden Barnett were named to the All-Region team in Region 3-5A.
Tanner Mays and Brandwood were named to All-Region team for Fort Mill for Region 3-5A.
