Maybe the third time is actually the charm.
A third round of football schedules have been finalized for Nation Ford, Fort Mill and Catawba Ridge.
The seven-game schedule for each school has region games, plus for most three non-region contests.
For the Falcons, Nation Ford opens at home against rivals Fort Mill Sept. 25, which is sure to be an exciting game to kick off the season for both schools.
Nation Ford will end the regular season at Catawba Ridge which will put Zac Lendyak against his former team. Lendyak was the Falcons’ offensive coordinator before taking the job at Catawba Ridge.
In between the book ends of the Nation Ford schedule is Region 3-5A contest and non-region games against White Knoll and Northwestern.
For Fort Mill, the Jackets will have a tough road playing four Region 3-5A games in their first five weeks. That will determine if Fort Mill can make the playoffs since 2017.
After opening at Nation Ford, the Yellow Jackets will host Clover Oct. 2 for their home opener. Fort Mill’s non-region games include home match-ups against Hartsville and Catawba Ridge. The match-up against Catawba Ridge will be the first one on the gridiron between the two teams.
Fort Mill ends the regular season at Lancaster.
For Catawba Ridge, the Copperheads move up to 4A and will open on the road against South Pointe Sept. 25. The Copperheads will play all four region match-ups right out of the gate.
The Copperheads’ home opener will be against York Oct. 2. Catawba Ridge will end their regular season at Fort Mill and then host Nation Ford. Their other non-region game will be at Chester.
