The Nation Ford golf team won a four-way golf match on their home course of Springfield Golf Club Monday.

Nation Ford shot a 162, followed by a 170 from Blythewood, a 177 from Fort Mill and 199 from South Pointe.

The Falcons were led by a 39 from Jake Macheski, followed by a 40 from Justin Wosje and a 41 from Ben Wakefield. Tyler Kemmerlin rounded out the scoring with a 42 for Nation Ford.

Fort Mill was led by 41 from Tyson Shouse and a 44 from Austin Anderson. Baker Tolentino, Cade Bettie and Camden Norris all shot a 46 for the Jackets.

The win put Nation Ford at 5-1 in non-tournament matches this season. Nation Ford next plays against Catawba Ridge at Fort Mill Golf Club Wednesday, March 20.

Fort Mill fell to 2-2 in non-tournament matches and will next play Tuesday, March 19 against Indian Land at Tega Cay Golf Club.

The Fort Mill tennis team beat Indian Land 6-0. Winning for the Jackets was Clay Wilson 6-0, 6-1; Zach Hughes 6-0, 6-1; Arnav Meshram 6-0, 6-2; Xander Pak 6-0, 6-0; Jack Childs 6-0, 6-0; and Cade Simms and Patrick Wright in doubles 6-0, 6-0. Fort Mill improved to 4-1 with the win.

The Fort Mill baseball team improved to 5-2 on the season with a 6-1 win over Rock Hill to open their three-game series with them. The Jackets are now 2-1 in Region 3-5A. Tucker Gandy and Rayce Buskirk combined for a one-hitter for Fort Mill with Gandy getting the win. Jacob Patterson and Andrew Craddock each went 2-3 for the Jackets in the win.

The Fort Mill softball team beat Rock Hill 6-0 to improve to 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in Region 3-5A. Ashley Kirby went 2-4 at the plate to lead the Jackets. Haley Rogers allowed six hits and struck out six in the complete game win.

The Nation Ford baseball team fell 10-9 to Blythewood after making five errors. Simon Fernandez went 3-4 with three RBIs and Jackson Childs went 3-4 as well. Miles Baker went 3-3 in the loss for the Falcons. The loss drops the Falcons to 4-5 overall and 1-3 in Region 3-5A play.

The Nation Ford boys’ lacrosse team beat Blythewood 16-3 to improve to 5-4 overall on the season and 5-1 in Region 3-5A.

The Nation Ford girls’ lacrosse team beat Blythewood 18-5 to improve to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in Region 3-5A.

The Catawba Ridge baseball team fell 6-1 to York for their first loss of the season dropping them to 8-1 on the year and 3-1 in Region 3-4A. The Copperheads made four errors in the game.
