Fort Mill’s Kyle Neibch was named Region 3-5A player of the year, one of four local region players of the year.

Three local coaches and four players took home some post season honors being named players and coaches of the year for their respective regions.

In Region 3-5A, Fort Mill’s Dwayne Hartsoe was named Coach of the Year and Kyle Neibch was named Player of the Year as the two helped to guide the Jackets to a Region 3-5A title this year and a 21-6 record. Neibch averaged 15.7 points per game to go with 4.5 rebounds per game to lead Fort Mill.

Along with Neibch, Fort Mill had Gabe Tooper and Will Stumpf named to the All-Region team. For Nation Ford, Quadier Hand was named to the All-Region team.

On the girls’ side, Nation Ford’s Camille Kerridge and Fort Mill’s Nadia Dial were named co-Region 3-5A Players of the Year. Kerridge averaged 20.1 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game to lead the Falcons. Dial, who missed part of the season with an injury, averaged 15.4 points per game and 9.2 rebounds for Fort Mill.

For the Jackets, both Clare Moore and Reagan Reyes, along with Dial, were named to the All-Region team. For Nation Ford, Kayla Wilmore joined Kerridge on the All-Region team also.

The Catawba Ridge Copperheads racked up the post season awards within Region 3-4A recently as well.

On the girls’ side of things, Catawba Ridge took home three of the top honors and had four players on the All-Region team.

Freshman Skyla Tuthill was named Region Player of the Year averaging 26 points per game and grabbing 6.9 rebounds per game. Makaliah Davis was named Freshman of the Year averaging 13 points per game and four assists per game and head coach Sheridan Pressley was named co-Region Coach of the Year with Lancaster’s Ronnie Robinson. Pressley guided the Copperheads to a share of the region title in her first year at the helm and a 20-2 regular season record.

Tuthill and Davis along with Morgan Davis and Tatum Postel were named to the All-Region team.

For the Catawba Ridge boys, head coach Brett Childers was named Region 3-4A Coach of the Year guiding the Copperheads to a 20-5 regular season record. Grant Lovette, Carter Hendrick and Zyan Hager were named to the All-Region team.
