Two local high school girls’ golf teams came away with victories on Wednesday.

Both Fort Mill and Catawba Ridge beat their respective opponents at their home courses.

At Tega Cay Golf Club, Fort Mill beat South Pointe 185-224 and was led by a 41 from Claire Collins.

Following her score is a 45 from Lauren Venino and a 49 from Ella Presley. Skylar Sartwell finished the scoring for Fort Mill with a 50.

At Fort Mill Golf Club, Catawba Ridge stayed undefeated in head-to-head competition beating York and Indian Land by shooting a 169. Indian Land shot a 185 and York shot a 193.

The Copperheads were led by Brooke Mehlhouse with a 41. Anjali Peddisetty finished with a 42 and both Jordan Lyons and EllaRose Hill shot a pair of 43s. Catawba Ridge is now 9-0 on the season.

Both Fort Mill and Catawba Ridge will be back in the swing of things on Monday, Sept. 29 at the Milltown Showdown at Fort Mill Golf Club, where they will also play against Nation Ford.
