The Fort Mill track team split with Region 3-5A foe Spring Valley on Wednesday.

The Lady Jackets won 85-65, while the Fort Mill boys lost 98-52.

In the girls meet, Fort Mill’s Mia Williams won the 100-meter dash in 12.68 and Kaylee Rovenstine won the 800-meter run in 2:26 for the Jackets. Ayla Greene won the 100-meter hurdles for the Jackets in 18.39.

Continuing in the distance events, Fort Mill’s Alivia Cleveland won the 1,600-meter in 5:04 and Avery Moriarty won the 3,200-meter in 12:01. Fort Mill also won the 4×800 meter relay in 10:57.

In the field events, Fort Mill’s Marisa Jones won the high jump hitting five feet and Williams won the long jump with a mark of 16 feet, 10 inches. Williams also won the triple jump with a combined mark of 36 feet, 1.5 inches.

Bela Grupp won the pole vault for Fort Mill clearing 8 feet, 6 inches and Kate Marker won the javelin with a toss of 87 feet, 2.75 inches for the Jackets. Fort Mill also had a winner in the shot-put with Willa Clark hitting a mark of 35 feet, 8.75 inches.

In the boys meet, winning for the Yellow Jackets in the field events was Luke Hunter in the 800-meter run in 2:01 and Isaac Campbell in the 1,600-meter in 4:32. Fort Mill also won the 4×800 meter relay in 8:33.

In the field events, Smith Stapleton won the discus throw with a mark of 125 feet, 11 inches and Russel Blankenship won the javelin with a toss of 128 feet, 8 inches for the Jackets. Fort Mill also won the shot-put as Grady Patterson had a throw of 42 feet, 2.25 inches.

Fort Mill will next compete at the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic meet Saturday, March 23.

The Fort Mill baseball team swept Rock Hill in their three-game series winning 14-4 in game three Thursday. Jacob Patterson went 2-3 with four RBIs and JB Walters went 2-4 with three RBIs in the win for the Jackets. Fort Mill is now 7-2 on the season and 4-1 in Region 3-5A play.

The Fort Mill girls’ lacrosse team beat Spring Valley 17-1 to improve to 8-4 overall and 6-0 in Region 3-5A.

The Catawba Ridge baseball game won their series against York beating them in game three 9-3 to improve to 10-1 on the season and 5-1 in Region 3-4A play. Owen Noonan and Jackson Mullen each had two hits in the win. Caden Glauber went five and a third innings to get the win and allowed one run on four hits, while striking out four.

The Catawba Ridge softball team beat Northwestern 13-0 behind Chloe Burger one hitter as they improved to 13-1 overall and 4-0 in Region 3-4.

The Catawba Ridge tennis team blanked Northwestern 6-0 in Region 3-4A play.

The Nation Ford tennis team improved to 4-2 in Region 3-5A and 6-2 overall with a 6-0 win over Clover. Winning for Nation Ford was George Lynch 6-1, 6-0; Zach Robinson 6-3, 6-2; Jacob Brancato 6-3, 6-2; Owen McCullough 6-0, 6-1 and Davis Glasco 6-1, 6-1 in singles. Naren Arunprakesh and Luke Clendening team to win in doubles 6-0, 6-0.

The Nation Ford boy’ lacrosse team improved to 6-4 overall on the season with a 10-7 win over Christ Church on the road.

The Nation Ford baseball team fell 13-3 to Blythewood to drop to 4-7 overall and 1-5 in Region 3-5A. Simon Fernandez went 1-3 with a home run and three RBIs in the game for the Falcons.
