The Nation Ford Falcons swim team beat both York and Gaffney Thursday evening at the Fort Mill Aquatics Center.
The Falcons’ boys team beat York 132-29 and Gaffney 138-22. The Nation Ford girls’ team beat York 132-23 and Gaffney 128-25. Nation Ford won all six relay events. Individual winners for the Falcons were:
Ethan Black – boys’ 200-yard individual medley and 500-yard freestyle
Emily Eaton – girls’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle
Austin Coleman – boys’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle
Mackenzie Riga – girls’ 100-yard butterfly
Sophia Bujoreanu – girls’ 500-yard freestyle
Julia Pou – girls’ 100-yard backstroke
Maddox Musick – boys’ 100-yard backstroke
Hayden Templeton – girls’ 100-yard breaststroke
Beckett Jones – boys’ 100-yard breaststroke
Sydney Fink – girls’ 200-yard freestyle

Swimming
The Fort Mill swim team won a head-to-head meet against Clover Thursday with the boys’ team winning 129-41 and the girls’ team winning 116-50.
Individual winners for Fort Mill were: Kyndall Brown-girls’ 200-yard freestyle, Owen Fey-boys’ 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle, Cadyn Henson-girls’ 200-yard individual medley, Zachary Nelson-boys’ 200-yard individual medley and 500-yard freestyle, Avi Corbi-girls’ 50-yard freestyle, Max Reichert-boys’ 50-yard freestyle, Oliva Corbi-girls’ 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke, Jack Dollyhigh-boys’ 100-yard butterfly, Jadyn Nelson-girls’ 100-yard freestyle, Anna Kate Halligan-girls’ 500-yard freestyle and Lila Hadley-girls’ 100-yard breaststroke.
Golf
Catawba Ridge took a three-way match against Fort Mill and Northwestern Thursday at Pinetuck Golf Club in Rock Hill. Catawba Ridge shot a 167 as a team and were led by Katherine Mann, who shot a 36. She was followed by a 37 from Eileen Zeoli and a 44 from Kate Gilmer. Reagan Lynch finished out the round with a 50.
Fort Mill shot a 185 and Northwestern shot a 198. The Jackets were led by a pair of 45s from MacKenzie Finn and Greycen Baker. Cayla Cappuzzo finished with a 47 and Kinsley Delcourt shot a round of 48.
Tennis
The Catawba Ridge girls’ tennis team bounced back from their first loss of the year with a 6-0 shutout over Region 3-4A opponent South Pointe. The Copperheads won each match in straight sets. No. 1 singles Sarah Taylor won 6-1, 6-2 and No. 2 singles Claire Hivner won 6-1 6-0. Also winning was Aiyana Uter at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-3 and Sara Maleady at No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-0. Lilly L’esperance won at No. 5 singles winning 6-1, 6-1 and Mallory McCart joined with Katherine Koehl to win in No. 2 doubles 6-1, 6-0. Catawba Ridge is now 5-0 in the region and 8-1 overall. They are scheduled to play York and Lancaster at home next week.
