Catawba Ridge girls golf finished fourth in the 4A state tournament.

Some struggles on day two of the 4A state golf tournament dropped the Catawba Ridge girls’ golf team to a fourth-place finish.

May River won the 4A tournament with a two-day total of 638 (324-314). Catawba Ridge shot a 705 (343-362) and was 23 shots out of third place behind host team Hilton Head. The tournament was held at the Barony Course located at Port Royal Golf Club. The course is a par-72 and plays 5,183-yards and featured 14 teams. 

The Copperheads’ Katherine Mann finished tied for eighth as an individual with a 165 (78-87), good enough to make All-State team.

Catawba Ridge was led by Mann on day two of the tournament with an 87. Eileen Zeoli shot an 89 for the Copperheads and both Kate Gilmer and Alyia Santiago shot a pair of 93s.

The Copperheads started the tournament off well and was in third place by a stroke over Hilton Head after day one.

In the 5A tournament, Nation Ford had one individual to represent them in Vivian Harris. Harris finished 35th overall with a 181 (89-92).  Lexington won the 5A tournament.
