Fort Mill’s Lydia Laney, No. 1, is closing in on a school record for most career goals. Fort Mill opens playoffs this week against TL Hanna.

The 2023 high school lacrosse playoffs start this week with all six local teams are involved.

The Fort Mill girls and Nation Ford boys will be hosting matches. The Lady Jackets will be hosting TL Hanna and Nation Ford will be hosting Mauldin.

Fort Mill senior Lydia Laney for the girl’s team is closing in on the school record for career goals. She currently sits with 192 goals. The current record of 201 goals, for both boys and girls, is held by Charlotte Anderson.

The Fort Mill boys, who got the at-large seed, will be heading to Dorman. The Nation Ford girls, who got the girl’s at-large bid, will be heading to Byrnes.

If both the Fort Mill and Nation Ford teams win, in the girl’s and boy’s brackets, they will match-up with each other in the second round.

Both Catawba Ridge teams are on the road as the boys’ team heads to AC Flora and the Lady Copperheads head to Christ Church.

The girls’ playoffs open Tuesday, April 18 and the boys’ playoffs start Wednesday, April 19.

The Catawba Ridge boys’ soccer team clinched the Region 3-4A title with a 2-1 win at Indian Land Friday, April 14. The win improves the Copperheads to 16-2 overall and 9-0 in the region. Catawba Ridge has one more region game at Northwestern on Monday. The region title is their third consecutive title.
