LANCASTER – The Catawba Ridge boys golf team finished its dual season with a 10-1 record after beating

Indian Land and South Pointe at Lancaster Golf Club Monday.

Catawba Ridge shot a 162 on nine-holes, while Indian Land finished with a 188 and South Pointe finished with a 193.

The Copperheads were led by a one-over par 37 from Hunter Warren. His score was followed by a 40 from OT Mitchell and a 41 from Killian Kirby. Muller Otto finished the scoring for Catawba Ridge with a 44.

The rest of the Copperheads schedule either involves 18 or 36-hole tournaments. The next tournament for Catawba Ridge is the Falcon Cup at the Palisades Country Club April 19, which is an 18-hole tournament.

Next week they will travel to the Swampfox Invitational at Legend Oaks Golf Club in the North Charleston area and then host the Milltown Showdown at Fort Mill Golf Club featuring Fort Mill and Nation Ford.

The Region 3-4A tournament is back at Lancaster Golf Club May 1st and will be an 18-hole tournament.

Catawba Ridge

Jackson Mullen tossed another no-hitter to lead the Copperheads baseball team to a 10-0 win over Northwestern in the first game of their three-game series. Catawba Ridge improves to 17-4 overall and 12-1 in Region 3-4A. Owen Noonan went 2-3 with four RBIs to lead at the plate for the Copperheads. Game two of the series is scheduled for Wednesday at home.

Fort Mill

The Fort Mill baseball team fell to Clover 4-3 to open their three-game series against the Blue Eagles. The loss drops them to 12-9 overall and 8-4 in Region 3-5A play. Fort Mill out hit Clover, but Clover scored three runs in the top of the seventh, to which Fort Mill couldn’t answer. Eli Craddock led the Jackets going 2-4 with an RBI at the plate.

Nation Ford

The Nation Ford boys’ soccer team shutout Rock Hill 3-0. The win puts the Falcons at 6-2 in Region 3-5A play and 13-5 overall.

The Nation Ford golf team beat two of three teams in a quad match against York, Rock Hill and Cuthbertson from North Carolina. Cuthbertson shot a 156, while Nation Ford shot a 173, Rock Hill a 182 and York a 196. Ben Mills led Nation Ford with a 38 and Cameron Allen shot a 44. Carter Smith finished with a 45 and Tyler Kemmerlin shot a 46.

The Nation Ford baseball team took game one of their three-game series against Spring Valley with a 6-4 win in eight innings. Nation Ford scored two runs in the top of the eighth to get the win. Bradyn Deaton went 3-5 with three RBI in the game to lead the Falcons at the plate. Nation Ford is now 11-10 on the season and 6-6 in Region 3-5A.
