The Fort Mill swim team beat both Nation Ford and Catawba Ridge in the Fort Mill Fallout Thursday at the Fort Mill Aquatics Center.

The Fort Mill Fallout is the swimming equivalent of the Milltown Showdown between the three schools in the pool.

Fort Mill won all six relay events as the boy’s team beat Nation Ford 114-56 and Catawba Ridge 128-42. The Nation Ford boys beat Catawba Ridge 116-54. The Fort Mill girls team beat Nation Ford 114-56 and Catawba Ridge 135-35. Nation Ford girls beat Catawba Ridge 119-51.

Individual winners for Fort Mill were:

Olivia Corbi – girls 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle

Dominic Impens – boys 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke

Ava Corbi – girls 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke

Jack Dollyhigh – boys 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly

Turner Wiand – boys 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke

Bella Corbi – girls 100-yard butterfly

Mia Pogorzelski – girls 100-yard freestyle

Lila Hadley – girls 100-yard breaststroke

Individual winners for Nation Ford were:

Nicholas Martin – girls 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle

Avery Martin – girls 200-yard individual medley

Up next for all three schools are their respective region championships at the Fort Mill Aquatics Center Saturday, Oct. 7.

The Fort Mill girls’ tennis team beat Spring Valley at home 4-2 to improve to 7-5 overall and 4-4 in Region 3-5A with two more region matches left. Winning for the Jackets was Esme Bromham 6-1, 6-2; Reagan Adams 6-2, 6-1; Hannah Swainey 6-0, 6-1 and Kendall McCarty and Abhi Nallareddy in doubles 6-3, 6-2.

The Nation Ford girls’ tennis team beat Rock Hill 6-0 to improve to 5-2 in Region 3-5A and 7-3 overall. Winning for the Falcons was Bella Neff 6-0, 6-2; Ava Baldino 6-4, 4-6, 10-7; Eva Arnautovic 6-4, 6-0; Lauren Padgett 6-0, 6-0; Alexa Brenner 6-3, 6-3 and in doubles Ansley McDonald and Piper Land 6-0, 6-1.

The Catawba Ridge girls’ tennis team beat Northwestern 6-0 to improve to 7-3 overall and 6-1 in Region 3-4A. Winning for the Copperheads was Nala Uter 6-0, 6-1; Sydney Biggers 6-0, 6-0; Emerson Brooks 6-0, 6-0, Katelyn Evans 6-1, 6-2; Skyler White 6-2, 6-1 and Abby Russell and Meredith Reynolds 6-0, 6-1 in doubles.

The Fort Mill boys’ volleyball team lost 3-0 to Indian Land falling 25-22, 25-23, 25-12 to drop to 8-9-2 overall on the season.
