The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets swim team finished the regular season by winning the Fort Mill Fallout – the tri-meet among all three local high school teams.

Both the boys’ and girls’ swim teams beat Nation Ford and Catawba Ridge at the Fort Mill Aquatic Center. The boys’ team won 106-64 over Nation Ford and 131-39 over Catawba Ridge. The girls’ team beat the Falcons 93-77 and the Copperheads 130-40.

Nation Ford boys’ and girls’ teams beat Catawba Ridge. The boys’ team won 100-70 and the girls’ team won 126-44.

Fort Mill and Nation Ford split all six relay events with both schools each winning three of them. Individual winners in the meet for Fort Mill were:

Anna Kate Halligan – girls’ 200-yard individual medley and 500-yard freestyle

Olivia Corbi – girls’ 200-yard freestyle

Owen Fey – boys’ 200-yard freestyle

Kyndall Brown – girls’ 100-yard freestyle

Drew Fey – boys’ 100-yard freestyle

Ava Corbi – girls’ 100-yard backstroke

Individual winners for Nation Ford were:

Lucas Grigat – boys’ 100-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle

Emily Eaton – girls’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke

Austin Lockhart – boys’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke

Mackenzie Riga – girls’ 100-yard butterfly

George Bujoreanu – boys’ 200-yard individual medley

Individual winners for Catawba Ridge were:

Alexander Ritz – boys’ 100-yard breaststroke

Up next for Fort Mill and Nation Ford is the Region 3-5A meet Oct. 3 at the Fort Mill Aquatic Center, while Catawba Ridge will have a make-up meet Oct. 1 at Clover against the Blue Eagles and York. The Copperheads will participate in the Region 3-4A swim meet Oct. 3 at the Rock Hill Aquatic Center.
