The Fort Mill boys’ golf team got the best of Nation Ford in their first meeting on the links this season.

Fort Mill shot a 168 playing on their home course at Tega Cay Golf Club besting rival Nation Ford by one stroke as they shot a 169. The Jackets were led by a 40 from Baker Tolentino.

Both Wilson Holmes and Tyson Shouse each shot a 42 for the Jackets and Nick Harper finished with a 44 to round out the scoring for Fort Mill.

Nation Ford was led with similar scores as Landon Snuffer with a 40. Oliver LaPointe shot a 42 and Jackson Metzger finished with a 43 for the Falcons. Alex Bodel and Connor Mills each fired rounds of 44 for Nation Ford to finish the scoring.

The Falcons dropped to 0-2 on the season in head-to-head matches, while Fort Mill improved to 2-0.

The Nation Ford girls’ soccer team beat Rock Hill 9-0 to improve to 3-0 in Region 3-5A play and 9-2-1 overall on the season.

The Nation Ford girls’ lacrosse team dropped to 1-6 on the season with a 11-6 loss to South Meck on the road.

The Nation Ford-Catawba Ridge boys’ tennis match was rescheduled to a later date.

The Catawba Ridge boys’ lacrosse team beat South Meck 11-4 to improve to 4-2 on the season.

The Fort Mill boys’ lacrosse team lost at home to AC Flora 8-7 to drop to 5-3 on the season.
