The Fort Mill and Nation Ford track teams split their meet Monday evening at Bob Jones Stadium.

The Jackets won the boy’s meet 98-47 and the Falcons won the girls meet 82-56. Lewisville also participated in the event and won a couple boy’s events.

The Fort Mill boys’ team was led by Elijah Jarrett and Oliver Jaeckli, who both won multiple track events and Lance Kimani, who won two field events.  The Jackets also won two of the three relay events in the boy’s races winning the 4×800 and the 4×400. Nation Ford boys won the 4×100 relay event.

Jarrett won the 100-meters in 11.56 and the 200-meters in 23.78. Jacekli won the 400-meters in 52.35 and the 800-meters in 2:04. Kimani won the long jump with a distance of 19 feet, 6 inches and the triple jump in 36 feet, 10.75 inches.

Other winners from Fort Mill in the boy’s meet were:

Gavin Blake in the 110-meter hurdles in 18.17

Jackson Dawson in the 1,600-meters in 4:32

Curtin Wallett in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:03

Devon Sibley in the 3,200-meters in 10:20

Marcus Boston Brinkley in the shot put with a throw of 44 feet, 5.5 inches

Chase Hammond in the pole vault clearing 9 feet, 6 inches

The only non-relay event Nation Ford won in the boy’s meet was the high jump with Malakai Branton clearing 5 feet, 6 inches.

In the girl’s meet, Nation Ford was led by Camryn Lorick and Tessa Kramer, who won two events each. Lorick won the 100-meters in 12.38 and the high jump clearing 5 feet, 4 inches, and Kramer won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:08 and the 200-meters in 26.87.

Nation Ford won the 4×100 and the 4×400 relay events. Fort Mill won the girls 4×800 relay.

Naturee Thomas in the triple jump with a total of 31 feet, 6 inches

Winners for Fort Mill in the girl’s meet were:

Angeline Kravitz in the 3,200-meters in 12:53

Isabella Robusto in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 11.75 inches

Willa Clark in the shot put with a throw of 27 feet, 7 inches

Andrea Barns in the discus with a toss of 115 feet, 4 inches

Sienna Lydon with a throw of the javelin at 81 feet

Baseball

Fort Mill picked up a 9-1 win over Gaffney to start their season series in game one. The Jackets improved to 10-8 overall and 4-3 in Region 3-5A.

Nation Ford fell to Clover 2-0 in the first game of their season series and dropped to 13-6 overall and 4-3 in Region 3-5A.

Soccer

The Catawba Ridge boys team beat Clover 3-1 to improve to 17-0-2 on the season, while the Lady Copperheads fell to Clover 3-2 for their first loss of the season and are now 10-1 on the year.

Softball

Nation Ford beat Lewisville 9-7 in a non-region game Monday and puts the Falcons at 11-6 on the season.
