The Fort Mill tennis team got a Region 3-5A win over rival Nation Ford Tuesday night.

Fort Mill won 4-2 to improve to 5-1 overall on the season and 4-1 in region play. The Jackets were led by a win from No. 2 singles Zach Hughes with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Nation Ford’s Aryan Goel.

Xander Pak won at No. 4 singles for Fort Mill over the Falcons’ Tatineni Jaideep 6-4, 6-3 and Jack Childs won at No. 5 singles for the Jackets with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Nation Ford’s Jacob Brancato.

The No. 2 doubles team of Cade Simms and Patrick Wright won 6-1, 6-3 for Fort Mill over Nation Ford’s Owen McCullough and Davis Glasco.

Getting wins for Nation Ford were George Lynch at No. 1 singles over Fort Mill’s Clay Wilson 6-4, 6-1 and Zach Robinson at No. 3 singles over the Jackets’ Arnav Meshram 6-4, 4-6, 11-9.

The loss drops Nation Ford to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in region.

The Nation Ford boys’ soccer team beat Rock Hill 6-0 to improve to 11-3-1 overall on the season and 2-1 in Region 3-5A.

The Nation Ford girls’ soccer team beat Rock Hill 10-0 to improve to 5-5 on the season and 1-3 in Region 3-5A.

The Nation Ford softball team cruised to a 16-0 win over Rock Hill as they improved to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in Region 3-5A. Abigail Loser went 2-2 with an RBI and two triples. Kailey Alston and Alaina Holyfield each had two RBIs in the win.

The Fort Mill softball team won 15-5 over Spring Valley on the road to improve to 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in Region 3-5A. Ashley Kirby went 3-5 with three RBIs and Reese Hill went 3-5 as well.

The Fort Mill boys’ soccer team won 1-0 over Spring Valley on the road to improve to 3-0 in Region 3-5A and 7-4-1 overall.

The Catawba Ridge softball team won 6-0 over Indian Land to improve to 11-1 on the season and 3-0 in Region 3-4A. Chloe Burger got the shutout and Jaidyn Harris went 3-4 at the plate and both Sarah Rocheleau and Audrey Wilson went 2-3 at the plate.
