Fort Mill’s Esme Bromham returns a ball during the Jackets tennis match against Rock Hill.

The Fort Mill girls’ tennis team has picked up back-to-back Region 3-5A wins in as many days.

Fort Mill beat Rock Hill 4-2 on Wednesday night, a day after beating Spring Valley on the road. They will now travel to Clover on Thursday to try and make it three matches in a row. Fort Mill is now 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in region play.

On Wednesday, all four of Fort Mill’s wins came in straight sets. Getting wins for the Jackets was No. 1 singles Emily Rimmer 6-0, 6-4; No. 4 singles Reagan Adams 6-0, 6-0 and No. 5 singles Hannah Swainey 6-1, 6-1. Also winning for Fort Mill at No. 2 doubles was Kendall McCarty and Abhi NallaReddy 6-2, 6-1.

Fort Mill is scheduled to return home Tuesday, Sept. 19 to play Nation Ford.

The Clover boys’ volleyball team beat Catawba Ridge 3-0 to drop them to 12-6-1 overall on the season.

The Catawba Ridge girls golf team beat Indian Land at Fort Mill Golf Club 179-201. The Copperheads were led by Reagan Lynch and Anjali Peddisetty, who both shot rounds of 42. Brooke Mehlhouse finished with a 44 and Ella Rose Hill shot a 51 for Catawba Ridge to round out the scoring. The Copperheads are now 4-0 on the season.
