The Fort Mill cross-country teams continue their hot streak and ran away with the Region 3-5A titles for both the boys’ and girls’ teams Tuesday evening at the Anne Springs Close Greenway.

The boys’ team won with 24 points, while Nation Ford was second with 45 points. The girls’ team won with 27 points, while the Falcons again were second with 43 points. However, the individual winners of each race were part of the Nation Ford team. 

In the boys’ race, Connor O’ Flynn won for Nation Ford coming in at 16:34. He was followed by Evan Wey for Fort Mill in second place at 16:51.

Following Wey for Fort Mill was Alec Lootens in third place in 17:08, Jackson Dawson in fourth in 17:10, Robert Robbins in seventh in 17:30 and Evan Ickert in 17:40 in eighth.

For Nation Ford, following O’Flynn was Alan Dayrit in fifth in 17:20, Chase Johnson in 12th in 18:18, Justin Storms in 13th with an identical time as Johnson and Jonathan Pool in 15th in 18:27.

In the girls’ race, Katie Pou for Nation Ford won in 19:17 with Angel Kravitz coming in second for Fort Mill in 20:32.

Following Kravitz for Fort Mill was Alivia Cleveland in fourth in 20:45, Avery Moriarty in fifth in 20:52 and Elise Barradale in sixth with an identical time and Miz Zimmerman in 10th in 21:55.

For Nation Ford, Ansley Archuleta finished third overall in 20:44, followed by Mia Royall in eighth in 21:36. The two final scoring runners for Nation Ford were Madison Hager at 16th in 22:52 and Adria Kahre at 17th in 22:57.

Both teams will now turn their attention to the 5A state qualifier on Halloween at the Sandhills Research Center in Columbia.
