The Catawba Ridge boys track team won the Rams High School Invitational over 22 other teams Saturday in Columbia.

Catawba Ridge boys scored 92.5 points and beat runner-up Chapin, who scored 84 points. The Copperheads girls team finished 10th with 22 points.

The boys’ team were led by a couple first-place finishes and multiple top five finishes. Sam Rich won two races for Catawba Ridge winning the 1,600-meters in 4:13.17 and the 3,200-meters in 9:15.51.

Other top finishers for Catawba Ridge were:

Evan Hamilton finished third in the javelin with a mark of 132’4”

Forrest Rozelle finished fifth in the pole vault clearing 12’0”

Olivia Dubrow finished second in the discus with a throw of 102’2”

Thomas Maxwell finished second in the discus with a throw of 141’1”

Jonathan Hairston finished second in the 400-meters in 49.14

Avery Shope finished fifth in the 800-meters in 2:26.25

Caden Westover finished third in the 800-meters in 2:06.03

Joshua Silverman finished second in the 3,200-meters in 10:04.62

Nation Ford boys finished 15th overall with 15 points. The Nation Ford girls finished fourth with 61 points. Top five finishers for the Falcons include:

Camryn Lorick finished second in the high jump with a 5’4” jump, second in the 100-meters in 12.20 and fifth in the 200-meters in 25.57

Ansley Archuleta finished fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 9’9” and fourth in the 800-meters in 2:24.63

Katie Pou finished second in the 1,600-meters in 5:16.50 and fifth in the 3,200-meters in 11:39.08

Tessa Kramer finished second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.91

Connor O’Flynn finished fourth in the 3,200-meters in 10:12.48

Nation Ford will next take on Fort Mill Monday at Bob Jones Stadium in a dual meet and Catawba Ridge will next take on York Thursday on the road.
