Catawba Ridge’s Anjali Peddisetty helped to lead the Copperheads to a 15th place finish.

Both Catawba Ridge and Nation Ford girls’ golf teams had decent showings in the Lady Blue Jacket Invitational over the weekend.

Catawba Ridge finished 15th and Nation Ford finished 16th in a field of 25 teams at the Diamondback Golf Club in Loris.

The Copperheads shot a two-day total of 785 (399-386) and Nation Ford was one stroke behind at 786 (408-378). Chapin High School won the event with a 647 (325-322).

Seventh-grader Brooke Mehlhouse led Catawba Ridge with a 183 (92-91) over the two days. She was followed by a 186 (97-89) from Reagan Lynch. Anjali Peddisetty shot a 205 (104-101) and Jordan Lyons finished with a 211 (106-105) to finish out the scoring for the Copperheads.

Nation Ford was led by Vivian Harris with a 169 (86-83), followed by a 200 (108-92) from Sara McCaskill. Piper Sabino finished with a 203 (100-103) for the Falcons and Katie Griggs ended her tournament with a 214 (114-100) for Nation Ford.

Catawba Ridge is scheduled to go head-to-head against Fort Mill Tuesday, Aug. 29 and then face Nation Ford Aug. 30.
