Fort Mill’s Parker Hightower swims the 200-yard individual medley during the Upstate Invite swim meet on Saturday, Sept. 6.

The Fort Mill swim team swept the Upstate Invite at the Fort Mill Aquatics Center.

Both the boys’ and girls’ teams won the event with the girls scoring 300 points and the boys scoring 312 points. Nation Ford was second for both the boys’ and girls’ teams as the Falcons boys scored 166 points and the girls scored 167 points.

The Catawba Ridge girls team finished fourth with 84 points and the Copperhead boys finished sixth with 53 points.

The Nation Ford girls’ team and the Fort Mill boys team won the 200-yard medley relay. The Fort Mill girls also won the 200-yard freestyle relay and Fort Mill swept both the 400-yard freestyle relays. Clover won the boys’ 200-yard freestyle relay.

Individual winners for Fort Mill were:

Parker Hightower – boys’ 200-yard individual medley

Dominic Impens – boys’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke

Turner Wiand – boys’ 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke

Individual winners for Nation Ford were:

Gavin Charcalla – boys’ 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle

Belle Kolatis – girls’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly

Avery Martin – girls’ 500-yard freestyle

The only swimmer for Catawba Ridge to win an event was Amelia Meehan in the girls’ 100-yard backstroke.
