
The 2025 girls’ golf season has teed off for all three local high schools.
On Aug. 20, Catawba Ridge opened their dual season beating both Nation Ford and Northwestern at Fort Mill Golf Club. The Lady Copperheads shot a 164 and was led by a 39 from EllaRose Hill in the match. Anjali Peddisetty was behind her for Catawba Ridge with a 40 and Brooke Mehlhouse was next with a 42. Jordan Lyons rounded out the top four with a 43.
The Copperheads are now 2-0 overall and earlier in the week finished ninth out of 21 teams in the Lady Bengal Invitational at Wildewood Country Club.
Nation Ford was led by a 39 from Piper Sabino during the Falcons’ match against Catawba Ridge and Northwestern. She was followed by a 47 from Mary Kate Quinlan and a pair of 49s from Campell Reiking and Brooke Parker.
On Aug. 19, Nation Ford fell to Fort Mill 193-198 at Springfield Golf Club. Sabino led with a 45 for the Falcons, while Reiking, Parker and Sydney Pounds each had rounds of 50. Fort Mill was led by a 45 from Lauren Venino and a 47 from Claire Collins. Lucy Anderson and Campbell Grant each had a 51 against the Falcons.
Nation Ford is now 1-2 on the season, as both them and Catawba Ridge head to the Lady Blue Jacket Invitational at Diamondback Golf Club near the coast in Loris, S.C.
