The 2025 swimming season started with a five-way meet at the Fort Mill Aquatics Center featuring both Fort Mill and Nation Ford.

Fort Mill swept the event for both boys and girls swimming beating all four other teams in the Thursday, Aug. 21 opener. Nation Ford picked up three wins falling only to Fort Mill.

For the boys’ meet, Fort Mill beat Nation Ford 99.5-70.5, Northwestern 136-32, Riverwalk Academy 140-20, and York 138-20. The Fort Mill girls beat Nation Ford 104-66, York 136-30, Riverwalk 140-11, Northwestern 139-28.

The Nation Ford boys won 140-20 over Riverwalk, 129-39 over Northwestern, 135-23 over York. The Lady Falcons beat York 132-34, Riverwalk 140-11, and Northwestern 133-34.

Fort Mill won five of the six relay events with Nation Ford taking the other one. Individual winners for Fort Mill were:  

Lila Hadley – girls’ 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke

Paker Hightower – boys’ 200-yard individual medley

Dominic Impens – boys’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly

Turner Wiand – boys’ 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke

Carson Wolf – boys’ 100-yard breaststroke

Individual winners for Nation Ford were:

Avery Martin – girls’ 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle

Gavin Charcalla – boys’ 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle

Belle Kolatis – girls’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle

Brittany Fink – girls’ 100-yard backstroke
