Fort Mill’s Connor Hilsmier returns a serve during the Jackets match Wednesday against York.

The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets wrapped up a 15-match regular season campaign by beating York Wednesday.

Fort Mill beat York 5-1 to finish the regular season at 10-5 overall. The Jackets finished 5-0 in their non-region matches this season.

The Jackets won all four matches in straight set dropping just the No. 5 singles match. At No. 1 singles Connor Hilsmier won 6-1, 6-1 for Fort Mill. Zach Hughes claimed the win at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win for the Jackets.

Fort Mill’s Clay Wilson got a 6-1, 6-4 win at No.3 singles and Gabe Van Sickle won at No. 4 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win.

The only doubles match for Fort Mill resulted in Noah Mills and Ethan Franklin winning for the Jackets with scores of 6-3, 6-4.

Fort Mill was third in Region 3-5A with a 5-5 record and will open the 5A state playoffs on the road Tuesday, April 25.
