The Nation Ford Falcons hosted Spring Valley for their senior night, advancing to a 4-5 record after taking down the Vikings by a whopping score of 49-0.

Nation Ford improve to 2-2 in Region 3-5A with the win over Spring Valley.

The Falcons looked great on both sides of the ball, with the offense putting it in the end zone nearly every time they got their hands on the ball, and the defense effectively shutting down the passing game, only allowing five completions the whole game.

Nation Ford came out guns blazing in the first quarter, scoring a touchdown on every one of their possessions.

Kaleb White got things started for Nations Ford with a 31-yard touchdown run in the first minute of the game, then followed it up with a 66-yard touchdown pass on the very next drive, putting the Falcons up 14-0 just over halfway through the first quarter.

After forcing a Viking three-and-out, the Falcons put together an impressive 72-yard drive which was capped off by a 27-yard touchdown pass to Caden Giles with less than a minute left in the quarter, extending their lead to 21-0.

On the second play of Spring Valley’s next drive, Zay Neely was able to get an interception and put the Falcons at the Vikings’ 27-yard line. Off the very first snap, Jaydon Scott caught a 27-yard touchdown pass, giving Nation Ford the 28-0 lead with 10 seconds left in the first quarter.

The Falcons continued to pour it on in the second quarter, blocking the Vikings’ punt, putting them at Spring Valley’s 20-yard line. The impressive block was followed up with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Lucas Barz, making the score 35-0 just over 90 seconds into the second quarter.

Towards the end of the half, it looked like the Falcons were in bad shape with it being third and 17 at the 25-yard line. But after a short pass to Scott, he turned on the jets and ran it in for a 75-yard touchdown, putting the Falcons up 42-0 heading into the second half.

Nation Ford came into the second half just as hot as they did in the first, recovering a fumbled kickoff return from the Vikings, putting them at Spring Valley’s 43-yard line. The Falcons were able to drive it in with Braydon Flores scoring the 2-yard rushing touchdown for the 49-0 lead and hold on to it for the remainder of the game.

Nation Ford will travel to Bob Jones Stadum Friday, Oct. 27 to play rivals Fort Mill to finish the regular season.
