Catawba Ridge’s Riley Shope runs the 1,600-meters during the Copperheads track meet Wednesday against Indian Land.

The Catawba Ridge track team swept Indian Land in a Region 3-4A home meet Tuesday.

Catawba Ridge boys won 112-61 and the girls won 103.5-68-5. The Copperheads won just one of the four relay events ran in the boys 4×100, while Indian Land won the three others. The 4×400 event wasn’t held.

The Copperheads had five winners of multiple events at the meet. Individual winners for Catawba Ridge were:

Samirah Anderson – girls 100-meter hurdles, 20.08

Alec Baker – boys 110-meter hurdles, 17.24 and triple jump, 41-2

Evan Hamilton – boys 100-meters, 11.58

Riley Shope – girls 1,600-meters, 5:36 and 800-meters, 2:33

Jordan Kent – boys 1,600-meters, 4:48

Brandon Raysor – boys 400-meters, 52.56

Zach Bannister – boys 800-meters, 2:03

Jordyn Hairston – girls 200-meters, 27.84

Tyler Fikis – boys 200-meters, 23.03

Jenna Couch – girls 3,200-meters, 12:58

Scott Keen – boys 3,200-meters, 10:26

Tatum Postel – girls high jump, 4-10 and long jump, 16-3

Jolie Nguyen – girls pole vault, 10-6

Jackson Rozelle – boys pole vault, 10-6

Olivia Dubrow – girls shot put, 34-3.5 and discus, 115-11

Izzie Waggoner – girls javelin, 64-4

Zachary Webster – boys discus, 143-5 and javelin, 137-7

Up next for the Copperheads is the Region 3-4A meet on May 4 at York Comprehensive High School.
