The Catawba Ridge girls’ golf team improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing win over the Indian Land Warriors.
Catawba Ridge beat the Lady Warriors 157-183 at Fort Mill Golf Club.
The Copperheads were led by a three-under par 33 by Brooke Mehlhouse, who was medalist for the match. Her score was followed by a 40 from Ella Rose Hill and a 41 from Bella Troxler. Ella Gaither finished the scoring for the Catawba Ridge with a 43.
Indian Land was led by a 43 from Madelyn Smith, followed by a pair of 46’s from Lucy DeVault and Grace Quas. Alex Gaddy finished the Lady Warriors’ round scoring a 48.
Up next for Catawba Ridge is another home match against York Comprehensive High School for their second Region 3-4A match of the season on Monday, Aug. 24.
