All three local varsity football teams will be at three different football scrimmages Friday night.
Nation Ford
Nation Ford is hosting the third annual Gus Allen Memorial Football Jamboree at Nation Ford High featuring the Falcons, Hopewell, Sun Valley and Marvin Ridge.
Hopewell and Sun Valley will start things off at 6:30 p.m. followed by Nation Ford and Marvin Ridge afterwards, which is scheduled for 8 p.m. Tickets for the Jamboree are $8 and can be bought online with the GoFan app.
Fort Mill
Fort Mill will be heading to York to participate in the Bill Pate White Rose Football Classic. It is the second year that Fort Mill has participated in the event at York Comprehensive High School. The Yellow Jackets will kick things off starting at 6 p.m. as they take on Laurens for their second straight year.
Following Fort Mill is Westwood and Providence at 7 p.m., Clover and Providence Day at 8 p.m. and Clinton and York at 9.p.m. Tickets for the event are $8 and can be purchased through the GoFan app.
Catawba Ridge
Catawba Ridge will be playing even further away traveling to Gaffney to play at the Reservation against Kings Mountain High School, led by former South Pointe and Legion Collegiate head coach Strait Herron. The Copperheads will play at 7 p.m. and cost for the event is $10 per person, cash only.
The match-up is part of the McDonald’s Kickoff Classic at Gaffney High School and will also feature Blacksburg taking on West Mecklenburg High School out of Charlotte.
