The Catawba Ridge girls’ golf team topped crosstown and Region 3-4A rival Nation Ford at Fort Mill Golf Club.
Catawba Ridge shot a 158, with Nation Ford firing a 206 in the nine-hole match. The Copperheads are now 7-0 on the season, while the Falcons dropped to 2-5.
Brooke Mehlhouse led Catawba Ridge with a two-under par 34 and was medalist for the match. She was followed by an even par 36 from Ella Rose Hill. Anjali Peddisetty finished with a 41 for the Copperheads and Davis Jones finished with a 47 to round out the scoring in the match for Catawba Ridge.
Nation Ford was led by a 45 from Campbell Reiking, followed by a 46 from Piper Sabino. Ava Sonneborn and Drishana Agarwalla finished the round for the Falcons. Agarwalla shot a 57 and Sonneborn was one stroke back with a 58.
Sept. 28 Roundup
The Fort Mill girls’ golf team also picked up a couple wins also on Sept. 28 beating Lake Wylie and York. Fort Mill shot a 153 and was led by a one-under par 35 from Addie Lupton at Spring Lake Country Club in York. Claire Collins shot an even par 36 and Lauren Venino finished with a 40 for the Jackets. Skylar Sartwell finished the scoring for Fort Mill with a 43. Lake Wylie shot a 187 and York finished with a 193 as a team.
