After the Rock Hill and Indian Land dual, which the Bearcats won, Catawba Ridge took on Rock Hill first. Starting at 113-pounds, Jacob McClure led things off for the Copperheads with a 12-2 major decision.
Rock Hill rallied to get a first period pin, but so did Catawba Ridge at 126-pounds by Taylon Winker in the opening period of his match as well. The Winker pin gave the Copperheads a 10-6 lead, before a Bearcats major decision at 132-pounds tied the match at 10.
Rock Hill regained the lead at 138-pounds with a second period pin and went up 22-10, before a 19-6 major by Archer Rozelle at 150-pounds.

Andrew Coursey (190) also won for the Copperheads with a second period pin and Alex Johnson (hwt.) picked up a first-period pin on his 17th birthday. However, Rock Hill was too far ahead as they would claim the dual win.

Indian Land won the next four weight classes, two by forfeit, to go up 30-18.
