Nation Ford’s Gray Reiger swims a part of the 200-yard medley relay for the Falcons during a recent meet.

The Nation Ford Falcons swim team swept a tri-meet earlier this week against Rock Hill High and Riverwalk Academy.

Nation Ford’s boys won 127-6 over Riverwalk and 119-32 over Rock Hill. The Falcons’ girls team won 133-0 over Riverwalk and 129-29 over Rock Hill.

The Falcons won all six relay events in the meet. Individuals winning for Nation Ford were:

Belle Kolatis – girls’ 200-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle

Emily Eaton – girls’ 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard freestyle

Nicholas Martin – boys’ 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard freestyle

Gray Reiger – boys’ 200-yard freestyle

Austin Coleman – boys’ 50-yard freestyle

Mackenzie Riga – girls’ 100-yard butterfly

Oscar Patterson – boys’ 100-yard butterfly

Lucy Molner – girls’ 500-yard freestyle

Maddox Musick – boys’ 500-yard freestyle

Kenna Zimmerly – girls’ 100-yard backstroke

Sydney Fink – girls’ 100-yard breaststroke

Fort Mill sweets York, Northwestern

The Fort Mill swim team swept both York and Northwestern at the Rock Hill Aquatics Center late Tuesday.

Fort Mill girls won 140-23 over York and 137-29 over Northwestern, while the Fort Mill boys team won 140-19 over York and 134-36 over Northwestern.

The Jackets swept the meet winning all 22 of the events in the meet including the six relay events. Individuals winning for Fort Mill were:

Anne Kate Halligan – girls’ 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly

Olivia Corbi – girls’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke

Max Reichert – boys’ 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle

Jack Dollyhigh – boys’ 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke

Cadyn Henson – girls’ 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke

Ava Corbi – girls’ 500-yard freestyle

Steven Eldridge – boys’ 500-yard freestyle

Adrian Paredes – boys’ 100-yard breaststroke

Owen Fey – boys’ 200-yard freestyle

Lila Hadley – girls’ 200-yard individual medley

Caden Wolf – boys’ 20—yard individual medley

Fort Mill will host a quad meet today at the Fort Mill Aquatics Center.

Golf

The Catawba Ridge girls golf team beat Nation Ford 161-182 at Fort Mill Golf Club Wednesday.  Katherine Mann led the Copperheads with a 36, followed by a 40 by Eileen Zeoli and a 42 by Kate Gilmer. Reagan Lynch rounded out the scoring for Catawba Ridge with a 43. For Nation Ford, Vivan Harris led with a 39. Sara McCaskill shot a 47 for the Falcons and both Katie Griggs and Piper Sabino each had rounds of 48. Up next for Catawba Ridge is a tri-match at Waterford against York and South Pointe Sept. 22. Next for Nation Ford is the West Florence Invite on Sept. 19.

The Fort Mill girls golf team beat both York and Northwestern at Spring Lake Wednesday. Fort Mill shot a 179 with Northwestern shooting a 211 and York shooting a 288. Leading Fort Mill was Mackenzie Finn with a 38. Her score was followed by a 44 from Cayla Cappuzzo and a 46 from Sam Benton. Ava Starosky finished with a 51. Fort Mill next plays Thursday at Waterford in a tri-match.
