The Fort Mill girls golf team opened the 2023 season with back-to-back wins.

On their first day of eligible play, Fort Mill beat Clover 180-211 at The Cove course at Tega Cay Golf Club Monday, Aug. 14.

Fort Mill had four players shoot in the mid-40s as both Mackenzie Finn and Sam Benton shot rounds of 44 and Cayla Cappuzzo and Claire Collins shot rounds of 46.

On Aug. 16 at Tega Cay Golf Club, Fort Mill beat Indian Land again shooting a 180. Indian Land shot a 202.

The Lady Jackets were led by Benton with a round of 39, followed by Finn with a 43 and Collins with a 48. Cappuzzo finished the scoring for Fort Mill with a 50.

Fort Mill has about a week off before their first road match of the season traveling to Spring Lake Country Club to take on York. The Lady Jackets are scheduled to next play at home at Tega Cay Golf Club against Catawba Ridge Aug. 29.
