ROCK HILL – All three local high school boys’ golf teams finished in the top five at the Fleischer Tournament at Rock Hill Country Club Saturday.

The two-day tournament culminated with the Gaffney Indians taking the team win with a 610 (308-302) and had the top three individual finishers in the tournament. There were 12 teams in the tournament.

Nation Ford came in second with a 644 (335-309) and was led by Justin Wosje with a 156 (80-76) and Carter Smith with a 160 (85-75). Harrison Lapointe finished with a 161 (86-75) and Ben Wakefield shot a 167 (84-83).

Wosje was third overall in the two-round tournament behind winner Luke Robertson of Gaffney with a 142 and Gaffney’s Ben Smith and Ty Childers each shooting a 153. Smith was sixth overall and Lapointe was seventh.

Blythewood finished third with Fort Mill coming in fourth with a 675 (346-329) as a team. Fort Mill was led by Austin Anderson with a 161 (84-77), followed by a 164 from Mason Jaeckli with rounds of 84 and 80. Baker Tolentino shot a 165 (83-82) for the Jackets and Cade Bettie finished with a 185 (95-90).

Anderson finished tied for seventh with Nation Ford’s Lapointe.

Catawba Ridge finished fifth five shots behind Fort Mill with a 680 (342-338). Hunter Warren, who was fourth overall with a two-day total of 158 (81-77), led the Copperheads.

OT Mitchell was behind him with a 163 (81-82) and finished tied for 10th for Catawba Ridge. Niam Sethi shot a 174 for Catawba Ridge with consecutive rounds of 87 on both days. Drew White finished the scoring for the Copperheads with a 185 (93-92).
