A positive COVID-19 case among the Nation Ford football program has cancelled the remainder of their season.

Nation Ford varsity football team is now on a two-week quarantine cancelling their game against Clover this week and any potential game they would have Friday, Nov. 13.

The Falcons finish their season at 3-2 and were playing Clover as their last game in Region 3-5A to potentially lock up a so-called wild card spot in the playoffs if either region winner Gaffney or second place finisher Boiling Springs couldn’t go to the playoffs because of COVID.

Also, if both of those possibilities didn’t play out and the Falcons missed the playoffs, Nation Ford would have been able to add another game at the end of the season for Nov. 13. However, the two-week quarantine now rules that out.
