Nation Ford’s Ariah Heard clears a hurdle in going on to win the event during the Falcons track meet on March 26.

The Nation Ford Falcons track program split a home meet with the Indian Land Warriors in a five-team meet.

Nation Ford girls won handily with 296.5 points to the Warriors 153.5 points. The Lady Falcons also topped Weddington, Riverwalk Academy, and Westminster Catawba. The Nation Ford boys finished second with 188 points, behind Indian Land’s 239 points. Nation Ford also topped Weddington, Riverwalk, and Westminster Catawba.

In the relay events, Nation Ford won the 4×100 for both teams, while Indian Land took the 4×800 and 4×400 events.

The Nation Ford tennis team beat Catawba Ridge 6-0 to improve to 4-0 on the season. Winning for Nation Ford was Colt Mohler 6-0, 6-0; Davis Glasco 3-6, 6-4, 10-1; Owen McCullough 6-0, 6-1; Zach Robinson 6-1, 6-0; Jacob Brancato 6-3, 6-0; and doubles, Shanmith Kamireddy and Luke Clendening 6-0, 6-2.

The Nation Ford baseball team fell to Indian Land 6-2 for their first Region 3-5A loss. The Falcons dropped to 6-4 overall and 4-1 in the region as their three-game series is tied 1-1.

The Fort Mill softball team fell to Charlotte Catholic 3-2 dropping them to 3-3 on the season.

The Fort Mill track team swept a meet with Rock Hill at home. The boy’s team won 80-61, while the Lady Jackets won 100-49.

The Fort Mill baseball team beat Rock Hill 14-3 to move to 8-3 overall and 5-3 in Region 3-5A. Fort Mill won the series with a 2-0 lead with game three being March 28 at Fort Mill High.

The Catawba Ridge baseball team beat South Meck 11-3 in a non-region game to improve to 7-4-1 on the season. They will open a three-game series against Indian Land on Monday, March 31.
